Bath County School District Wireless Access Update For All Users

Wireless access will require login with your email address and password starting September 30th on all devices that use the Bath County Schools wireless network. Staff and Students will have separate Wireless Access Portals after this date. Staff members are to use the BCS-Staff wi-fi network. Students are to use the BCS-Student wi-fi network. It is important to choose the correct network when connecting your device. A staff member’s logon with only work with the BCS-Staff wi-fi network, and a student’s logon with only work with the BCS-Student wi-fi network.  Activity on the wireless network can then be tracked to the individual sign-on.  Do not allow another person to use your login credentials.

During this transition period until September 30, you may proceed with connecting your personally owned devices, district and school owned ipads, ipods and kindles to one of the new wi-fi networks. This will ensure your device will have access after September 30th. District owned windows laptops will automatically configure with new settings and DO NOT require any action from the user. If you have trouble with a district owned windows laptop connection to wi-fi after September 30th, please contact the IT department. The old wi-fi networks, Bath and BCSGuest, will be removed on October 1st and will not be available after that date.

For more information on how to connect your device, please visit the Staff and Student Wi-fi How to on the district website under Staff Resource or Student Resources.
