OES Safety Patrol Canned Food Drive

OES Safety Patrol Students will be conducting the 2014 Canned Food Drive for the week of:  October 27-31, 2014
Please help us collect nonperishable food items for many families in need within the community.
Send your donation by your OES Student to be given to their teacher.
Items needed include canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, rice, beans and/or any non-perishable food item.  Please DO NOT SEND GLASS JARS.
The classroom with the most items collected will receive a reward.

In support of Red Ribbon Week, Wednesday is designated, “CAN DRUGS DAY”. We hope to collect the most Food Drive items on this day. The class with the most items collected on this day will receive a reward.

Bullying Prevention Week Oct 19th-24th

Bully Prevention Week Oct 19-24 

Theme “Lean On Me, Stop the Bullying”

  • Students will be making posters to be judged and receive awards
  • Morning Announcements will include daily Bully awareness information
  • Pledge Wall for students to sign after making the pledge to help OES be BULLY FREE
  • Theme song will be "Lean on Me"
  • Handouts and information to discuss in the classrooms by teachers will be provided

Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 27th-31st

Red Ribbon Week October 26-31st will be our focus week.  Theme “These Paws Don’t Touch Drugs”

  • October 29th we will have our Red Ribbon Assembly at 8:20.

Daily Themes

Monday- Drugs can’t find me  ( camo day)

Tuesday-Love and Peace be Drug Free  ( tie dyed day)

Wednesday- I’m a true Blue Jean-ius,  I’m Drug Free  ( Wear a blue shirt and blue jeans)

Thursday – Red-y to Live Drug Free and Make a Difference  (Red out day,  Wear as much Red as you can)

Friday-Scare Drugs Away ( wear your favorite costume)  No Masks, or anything that resembles a weapon

Fire Safety

OES students learn about fire safety from volunteer firefighters!  We appreciate all that these volunteers do to keep us safe!
