Mr. Ramey was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 6th, 1967. His parents moved to Kentucky when he was 3 and he has lived here ever since. Mr. Ramey spent his school years in Bath County, graduating from Bath County High School in 1985. He spent the next four years as an Inertial Navigation Systems Specialist in the U.S. Air Force where he was a member of the 23rd Tactical Fighter Squadron “Flying Tigers” working on the A-10 aircraft. After receiving his honorable discharge in 1990, Mr. Ramey returned to Kentucky where he was employed in factory work for almost 12 years, including 10 years at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, KY. A workplace injury left him unable to continue working at TMMK, so he returned to school to get his degree in art education, graduating Summa Cum Laude in December 2004. He worked 9 years as the art teacher at Fleming County High School before returning home in 2014 to teach at Bath County High School. He currently lives in Owingsville with his wife, son, and two dogs.
