Jon Hammons received his first BS degree in 1996 in Industrial Education and his second BS degree in 1997 in Manufacturing and Robotics, his master degree in Vocational Education in 1998, his Rank I in Vocational Administration in 2001, his certification in Agriculture Science and Technology in 2003, his Certification in Instructional Leadership, Principal (all grades) in 2006, and his Certification in School Superintendent in 2010. All of his course work was completed at Morehead State University.
Jon Hammons’ professional vita includes previous experiences such as teaching Industrial Technology Education in grades 9-12, Freshman and JV Football Coach , Half-Time Assistant Principal over the Career and Technical Education Department , District Career and Technical Education program director. Currently he serves as the Agriculture Department Chair, Bath County High School Agriculture Advisory Committee Chair, Career and Technology Education Department Chair, Agriculture Education Teacher grades 9-12, Co-sponsor of the Bath County FFA. He is currently a member of the Bath County Cooperative Extension Council, Bath County Fair Board, KEA, KVATA, KACTE. Additionally Jon has presented at the local and the state level and enjoys being a part of professional organizations.
All 22 of Jon Hammons’ years in education have been in the Bath County School District.
His goal is allowing for the collaboration of forward-thinkers to accommodate and prepare next generation learners for 21st century skills while ensuring college and career readiness.
