I am a 1989 graduate from Menifee County High School.
I am happily married to Kevan Lane (30 years) and we have a 25 year old daughter named Megan who is married to Seth Brewer. My daughter teaches 3rd grade at Menifee Elementary and her husband Seth teaches middle school social studies at Menifee Middle school. Megan and Seth blessed me we a beautiful granddaughter in May. Alaina Grace Brewer weighed 8 lbs. and 3 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long and is absolutely beautiful.
I graduated from Morehead State University in May of 1994.
I obtained my Bachelor's of Science and Master's of Science degrees in Vocational Home Economics from Morehead State University. I completed my Rank I through the Continuing Education Option through the Kentucky Department of Education.
I am a member of the professional organization National Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences (NATFCS).
The career pathways offered through the Family and Consumer Sciences department include Early Childhood Education and Culinary and Food Services. To become a completor in either of these pathways you must complete the four classes listed for each pathway.
Early Childhood Education: FACS Essentials, Early Lifespan Development, Middle to Late Lifespan Development and Child Development Services I
Culinary & Food Services: FACS Essentials, Foods & Nutrition, Culinary Arts I, and Culinary Arts II.
I am currently starting my 24th year of teaching here at Bath County High School.
I love this place and plan on retiring from here :)
I am one of the FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) advisers andI also serve as a coach for the Jr. Chef Farm to School team, along with Vickie Wells, April Reed and Lee Ann Ramey.
My hobbies include: Loving my grand baby, scrapbooking, swimming, shopping, traveling and praying for snow days!!!
