Hello!  My name is Lee Ann Ramey and this is my 22nd year teaching at Bath County High School.  I am a 1990 graduate of Bath County High School and feel privileged to work in such a great environment.

I have obtained my Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Vocational Home Economics from Morehead State University.  I completed my Rank I through the Continuing Education Option through the Kentucky Department of Education.  I am a trainer for the Orientation for Early Care & Education Professionals and a certified instructor/proctor for the ServSafe industry certifications.

I am a member of the professional organizations National Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences (NATFACS) and Kentucky Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences (KATFACS).  I serve as the regional secretary for KATFACS.

The career pathways offered through the Family and Consumer Sciences department include Culinary & Food Services, Early Childhood Education and Consumer & Family Management.  To become a completer in any of these pathways, you must complete the four classes listed for each pathway and pass either the End of Program Assessment (formerly known as KOSSA) or an industry certification.

Culinary & Food Services: FACS Essentials, Foods & Nutrition, Culinary Arts I, and Culinary Arts II.  Industry Certification - ServSafe Managers Credential

Consumer & Family Managment: FACS Essentials, Relationships, Foods & Nutrition, and Middle to Late Lifespan Development. Industry Certification - AAFCS Pre-PAC Assessment

Early Childhood Education: FACS Essentials, Early Lifespan Development, Child Development Services I, and Child Development Services II.  Industry Certifications (must complete all 3) - Commonwealth Child Care Credential (Certificate of Eligibility), KY Early Care and Education Orientation, AND Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma

I am the adviser of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).  I am also a coach for the Junior Chef Farm to School team, along with Vickie Wells and Teresa Lane
