Foods and Nutrition is an introductory class that students can take if they are interested in the Culinary Arts career pathway. In this class students learn about the basics of nutrition, kitchen safety and sanitation, kitchen tools and equipment, and food preparation. ServSafe Foodhandler's curriculum will be used to prepare students to work in the culinary lab.
If students are following the Culinary & Food Services pathway, they should have taken FACS Essentials (Life Skills) before taking this class.
